Wordless Wednesday

well...not completely wordless. Remember when you were a kid...or maybe you still do it now...and you'd lie in the soft green grass and just stare up at the sky, making shapes of the clouds? I hope this image brings back such carefree memories for you.

This was a photo of the sky taken from my backyard one winter a few years ago. As the leaves keep falling, this is how the trees will soon look again.

Ok, so I did not take these photos...my husband Marty did. And, they were not taken anywhere near Seguin. He took them while on one of his many flights homeward from a recent mission trip to Brazil. But, hey, they are of the sky!!!

Skywatch Friday

I saw this sunset from I-10 as I was driving to San Antonio to pick up my niece to come spend the weekend with me. I got off the interstate as quickly as I could before the sun disappeared altogether and the sky changed.







As I returned to the car, this is the view of the sky over the interstate in the opposite direction:

Skywatch Friday (a little late)

Wednesday, as Hurricane Dolly pummelled the gulf coast, these are the storm clouds she sent our way. Although Seguin was getting rained on when I took these, out here in the country we didn't get any rain until about 2:00 am Thursday morning.
